"Let's Go Raptors, VC SUCKS!!!"

It never gets old does it? The crowd called out their most-hated player throughout the game (hell even after the game), after Chris Bosh called them out 48 hours ago, and even putting it up on YouTube.

For his part, Vince Carter had a good game (21 pts, 6 rbs, 2 asst+blocks) but the Raptors won 113-85. The biggest factor was Carlos Delfino though, who broke out with 24 points, 5 boards, 1 assist/block/steal. Dude caught fire, at the right time too as Raptors were down by 14 when Starlos started nailing treys, tying his season high with 6.

You know what else is fantastic? The Raptors officially eliminated the Nets tonight from the playoffs. Talk about poetic justice. This isn't nearly as much flavorful as them beating us in the playoffs last year, but I'll take it. For all my rant on him, TJ For played smart, under-control, and was downright terrific. He really won me tonight for one more thing though - he was going at it with Vince verbally; TJ was talking smack to him, it looked pretty serious and I love it.

Chuck Swirsky, the Raps' play-by-play commentator: "Jack, do you think there'll ever be closure on Vince Carter here?" Jack Armtrong, almost instantly: "Never." Chuck: "Why not?" Jack: "Well because of the way he left. Why should there be?"

Thank you Jack, thank you. Many people seem to feel that continuing to boo Vince every time in Toronto is getting old and childish...uhh..NO. On the contrary, there'd be something wrong if we stopped booing the hell outta him. The guy stopped playing hard, quit on our team, made a mockery out of the city, forced us to trade him and then suddenly started playing on a top-level again. You don't forgive that. So I personally salute the crowd. In the waning moments of the game, 22.2 seconds left to be exact, with all the starters (including VC) on the bench and the game already a blow-out, the crowd started chanting again "let's go Raptors, VC SUCKS!!" And Vince Carter was laughing, having a ball of course, reminiscent of why we all hate him so much. I seriously wonder how New Jersey fans feel when they seem him like this, I really do. As I read from this site, "Let’s just say I’ve seen more heart out of an artichoke." Oh, but the crowd didn't stop there. I was watching Raptors Post-Up, and the fans were still swarming the studio where the show takes place and screaming their favourite catchphrase over and over from the top of their lungs.."let's go Raptors, VC SUCKS!!!" It was loud, so loud you could barely hear Leo Rautins, Sherman Hamilton, and PJ.

  • Chris Bosh looked pissed from the beginning of the game: I don't know if it's about the crowd, the Raptors' lack or urgency in that 1st quarter, whatever it is I love it.
  • I love what I'm seeing from Bargnani: dude is playing hard and attacking the rim. Yes, he's been struggling with his 3-ball but that'll come back. He's just been in attack-mode and it's great to see him hustle (that one possession where he snatched the ball of the Nets and put it up two times before he finally got fouled was sweet) and drive.
  • Jack Armstrong is hilarious. About Carlos Delfino's always laid-back look, never being able to tell if he's having a great game or a horrible one: "I wouldn't wanna play poker against him."
  • Jack again, on Delfino: "Call the Toronto fire department cuz this guy is ON FIRE!"
  • Highlight of the game: Chris Bosh's foul on Richard Jefferson. That was a HARD foul, just threw RJ down. About time somebody on the team does that, and Bosh sent the message loud and clear: don't stroll into the lane.
  • From what I've seen, I really like Lawrence Frank - he has this conviction, and is a straight-shooter.

Andrea has to regain his shooting touch for him to be more deadly.. though, I still want him being more aggressive going to the basket..
